  • Don’t let your participles dangle.

  • If you’re not sure where a colon belongs, consult an anatomy book.

  • Sometimes the use of body language is much more effective than words.

  • The book is always better than the movie.

  • Punctuate your life with laughter.

  • Don't live in the past tense.

  • Sometimes it's fun being the object of the proposition.

  • Everyone has a story worth writing.

  • Don't be a rebel without a clause.

  • Live life with an exclamation point!

  • Take Note ...
    Canadian Issues Committee vacancy
There is an opening for an STCEO representative on the Canadian Issues Committee (CIC).

For more information on the activities of the CIC, see the article by Leanne Logan.

If you are interested in replacing our current representative, Lynda Simons, please contact her at 526-0899 or by e-mail at lynda.simons@sympatico.ca.

    Judges needed
Due to the unanticipated number of entries in the STCEO Technical Publications and Online Communication competitions, some from as far away as Edmonton, the organizers will need more assistance in judging the submissions. If would like to be a competition judge, contact Bob Stanley, print competition manager (613-821-1847) or Simonne Souliere, online competition manager. Judging can be an educational experience. Take advantage of this opportunity.
